Pitching and Hitting Instruction
Weeds Softball

About Steffany
My love for the game started at 10 years old in the foothills of California and for 30+ years it has endured. When I moved back to Austin, Texas I found myself at the forefront of the fastpitch movement. First official high school team member and then a member of the first team at Schreiner University (DII). After college I found my love of coaching and realized that those hours of working with pitchers coupled with my degree in Exercise Science made me perfectly suited for teaching pitching.

Private instruction led me to Howard College where I helped guide them to their first NJCAA Nationals Tournament and top 25 rankings for Team Batting Average. I stayed in West Texas but moved to The University of Texas - El Paso where I worked with the pitching staff. After UTEP I moved back to Austin and returned to private instruction.

I endeavor to pass along that love and knowledge to this generation through thorough, bio-mechanically rooted instruction. I understand what it takes to be a top tier player and invest in all my players throughout their softball journey. My goal as a coach is to help every athlete understand the game so well that they can pass along their knowledge to the next generation.

Why Weeds?
I get asked often why I call this Weeds Softball.
Weeds are tough, they are resilient, they can grow anywhere. These are the kind of young ladies that I have worked with over the years and I've learned they can never really be counted out.
